A big thank you to the support received already for the 2019 AGA Industry Forum from our sponsors below!
In 2017, it was brought to AGA’s attention that some gas-fired Yum Char trolleys do not incorporate basic safety features and may put the safety of restaurant patrons and staff at risk.
AGA initiated a program to write a technical safety specification for gas-fired Yum Char trolleys which was completed in 2018. The specification was provided to the gas technical regulators and to the AG-001 Standards Australia committee to be incorporated in the relevant commercial catering appliance Standard.
The process is still is underway and we expect Yum Char trolleys to be covered under AS 4563 (Commercial Catering Gas Equipment) in the near future. As advised in our July 2018 NewsFlash, AGA can accept Applications for the certification of gas-fired Yum Char trolleys under a special Gas Technical Regulators Committee safety case.
We are also pleased to announce that there are AGA Certified Yum Char trolleys now available.
