What is a USI?
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference number made up of numbers and letters that creates a secure online record of your nationally recognised training. It ensures that your training records and results are maintained accurately and can be accessed whenever you need them. Every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have a USI.
Why Do You Need a USI?
* Access to Your Training Records: Your USI allows you to access your training records and results through your online USI account.
* National Recognition: It ensures that your qualifications and achievements are recognised across Australia.
* Compliance: Without a USI, we cannot issue you a certificate or statement of attainment for your training.
How to Create Your USI Creating your USI is a simple process that can be completed online in a few easy steps:
1. Go to the USI Website: Visit the USI website at www.usi.gov.au.
2. Click on ‘Create your USI’: Follow the prompts to create your USI. You will need to provide some personal details, including your name, date of birth, and contact information.
3. Provide Identification: You will need one form of ID from the list provided (e.g., driver’s licence, Medicare card, birth certificate, passport).
4. Create Your USI: Once your details are verified, your USI will be created. Make sure to write it down and keep it safe.
Forgotten Your USI? If you have forgotten your USI, you can easily retrieve it by following these steps:
1. Visit the USI Website: Go to www.usi.gov.au.
2. Click on ‘Find your USI’: Follow the instructions to retrieve your USI. You will need to provide some identifying information to verify your identity.
Providing Your USI to AGA Once you have created your USI, you must provide it to AGA to complete your enrolment. You can do this by entering your USI in the enrolment form or providing it directly to our administration office.
